Well
Petrol and other petroleum products are has become one of the importance of daily life. In my view yeah it is good to replace the petroleum products by using bio-equipments. As distance said yeah we can use solar energy and other. But in context of Nepal, the vehicles with batteries may not be a good way of traveling.

As a engineering View
A diesel engine can give more mileages then battery engine. If we have 1 Liter we can go 80 km in average in a bike. Which no any electric vehicle can run and it is easy and lighter and can be fit in any small area. Cuz it is liquid. And it can produce more horsepower then any electrical vehicle. So Diesel or Petrol engine and vehicle are so popular and liked by all.

We can replace this by using our Unlimited Natural Resource. Current and long electrical trains. For the Long distance travel and cargo also Electric trains can be perfect.

For short distance travel we can use solar cars which can be recharged during its running time.

Nepal has maximum probability of more then 1000000 Mega watt Electric producing power. From the research in 2032 B.S., it was 88000 Mega Watt . This data was made my reading only the running rivers in Nepal. But now the technology has changed and new technology used in Kulaykhani, The damp technology and water storage and using technology this 88000 Mgwt is now multiplied into 5 times or more. So we are the richi rich on electricity power. If we produce only the 10 percent of total then Nepal will be so rich and whole Asia have to buy Electric from us like we buy petrol. So lets think about it and to it.

well nice topic Dwaipayan... well this a very big and serious issue in the context of nepal.. the problem of gas can be replace by utilizing solar power and for the vehicles...by using battries but this isnot the ultimate solution of the problem...since the people of our country have low per capita income as well as i don't think government is showing any interest to solve the existing problem... well what we can do is to wait for the government to take step in this issue

Petroleum products are the non renewable resources which is sure to be lost from the world today. A short trial can be seen about our happening future, today itself in the capital. There lacks petroleum products. Today these products can be brought by paying the money to India. But there appears the day in very recent future that we can't bring any petroleum products from any where. Those days will lack petroleum products. We can't get these products even after paying high price. Thinking this topic in serious manner, we can reach to the certain conclusion that, there must be a good future planning from today itself. Else every individual have to suffer during the time when their petrol consuming bikes, cars or any vehicles have to be sold in hundreds, due to unavailability of petrol's. Same lies the case with gas as well.
